Role Overview
Are you eager to apply your skills to real-world challenges? As a Computer Vision Engineer (Drones & Robotics), you will play a key role in developing advanced vision-based navigation, tracking, and perception systems. You will have the autonomy to experiment with state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms, optimize them for real-time deployment, and collaborate with an innonvative team. Your expertise in image processing, AI model deployment, and multi-sensor fusion will enable the next generation of intelligent drone systems.
Key Responsibilities
Vision-Based Navigation & Localization:
- Develop and optimize real-time navigation algorithms (e.g., SLAM, optical flow) and fuse multi-sensor data (RGB, thermal, LiDAR, IMU) using advanced math.
Tracking & Image Processing:
- Implement robust, real-time tracking and image processing techniques (e.g., correlation filters, edge detection, image stitching) to enhance environmental perception.
AI Model Deployment & Optimization:
- Deploy and fine-tune machine learning models on edge devices using tools like TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, and OpenVINO for low-latency inference.
Computer Vision Task Optimization:
- Continuously improve algorithm speed and accuracy on resource-constrained hardware while collaborating with hardware, robotics, and embedded systems teams.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with hardware, robotics, and embedded systems teams to deliver integrated, high-performance vision modules.
- Stay updated on advancements in vision-based navigation, tracking, and image processing for drones and robotics.
Required Skills & Experience
Programming & Tools:
- Strong proficiency in C++, Python, and OpenCV.
- Experience with parallelization (OpenMP) and deployment tools like TensorRT and ONNX Runtime.
Hardware: Experience with NVIDIA Jetson, ARM Cortex, and Raspberry Pi.
Frameworks: Proficiency in OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and CUDA.
Computer Vision & Machine Learning:
- Expertise in vision-based navigation, tracking, and advanced image processing.
- Strong understanding of algebra, calculus, image frame coordinate transformations, and basic signal processing.
- Experience optimizing models for edge devices and implementing real-time vision systems with a focus on low-latency processing and high accuracy.
Sensor Integration & Filtering:
- Knowledge of multi-sensor fusion, including camera, LiDAR, IMU, and GPS.
- Practical experience with Kalman filtering for sensor data smoothing and fusion.
